Getting Grunge

As much as I hate to admit it I tend to always be wearing dark colours, not all the time but majority of the time, but let’s be honest black always works, not to mention it is the most slimming of colours.

Grunge may have been around forever but it will never get old. How to get the grunge look…

Getting grunge is really quite easy. Think leather, denim (cut off shorts and super skinny jeans), lace, over sized tee’s, tights (plain, panelled and printed), biker boots or docs, finished with cross and skull accessories and don’t forget a chic pair of sunglasses. You can’t go wrong.

Two celebs that rocks the grunge look to a tee are Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof.

Last year I was given an assignment at Tafe to design a women’s range. As I love this look I decided to go with it and work my designs around the colours black, grey and white and using lots of leather, feathers, studs and denim. The range was called ‘Fly away Home.’

I have not shared any of my work on my blog yet and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do so, so here goes. This is only a few of the designs. What do you think?
